The government and CAA guidelines allow commercial pilot training to continue, but we only want to operate during this challenging time if we commit to keeping our instructors, students and all who visit our facility as safe as possible.
We have completed a thorough risk assessment and our COVID policy is as follows:
- All students and instructors to give a declaration of being symptom-free 7 days prior to course commencement
- Daily temperature checks at the facility
- All students, instructors and visitors to download the NHS app and check-in using the QR code at the facility on a daily basis
- Students and instructors will be given access to anti-viral wipes, hand sanitiser and a mask (if required) upon arrival at the facility
- No unnecessary visitors to the facility
- Hand sanitiser to be made available throughout the facilities
- The simulator and aircraft to be sanitised pre- and post-use
- Social distancing to be maintained in the crew room and classroom
- Masks to be worn where social distancing cannot be maintained
- Earpiece and microphone covers to be provided, and headsets sanitised after use.
- Any other equipment, i.e. foggles/iPads to be sanitised pre- and post-use
- Masks to be worn in offices, corridors and crew room unless individuals are exempt for medical reasons
